Entrepreneurs Foundation is a non-profit organization committed to building a stronger Bay Area by creating cultures of community involvement and philanthropy within companies. Through this foundation, Alexza Pharmaceuticals supports the following volunteer programs:
The Family Giving Tree
Providing gifts, donations and volunteering at the warehouse during the holiday season to benefit needy families and individuals, to make the holidays a bit brighter.
RAFT (Resource Area for Teachers)
Providing back-to-school basics for individual children with donations of backpacks, books, and other school necessities, to make the school experience more exciting and successful.
The Boys and Girls Club
Providing leadership and guidance to children and young adults through sports activities, field trips and other fun events, to make life learning a more positive experience.
High School Career Day
Educating high-school students about careers in the sciences and pharmaceutical industry, with hands-on experiments and access to leading-edge technologies, to make the idea of a scientific career more accessible.
Bring Your Children to Work Day
Giving our children an understanding of what a 'career' is, why we spend time at the office, and who we are outside of the home, to broaden and strengthen the special bond we share with our children.
Food Drive
The annual food drive coincides with the holidays to ensure that families have basic food items, to make the holidays less financially stressful.
Alexza Pharmaceuticals employees are also encouraged to discover new ways that the company can provide to the local community or other larger philanthropic programs.
